The Great, Great Granddaughter of
Robert Warington.
BLUE PLAQUE TO EMINENT VICTORIAN SCIENTIST
On Sunday 16th March at Poplar Cottage, Fore Street Hill, Budleigh Salterton, a
Blue Plaque to record the achievements of scientist Robert Warington FRS (1807-
1867) was unveiled jointly by Sheila Salmon, his great, great granddaughter, and
Professor Gill Reid CBE, Past President of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Sheila Salmon said “our great great grandfather was a remarkable man who
achieved so much in his professional career.
